From the very start System Five was designed around a single, fully-integrated database concept. There are no batches to run or files to import at the end of the day, and you'll always have up-to-the-moment reports. When a sale is completed or a transaction in the ledger transaction is made, the details show up throughout the whole system. Customer purchase history, stock control, sales details and the ledger are all up to date at all times.

  This means you can concentrate on doing your revenue generating work, and get the reports you need whenever you find the time. We have witnessed the tragic lives of users without this instant access, their desks growing deep piles of paperwork until they are finished with a month end, and then frantically catching up so they can see what happened.

  Windward System Five comes with several pre-built ledger reports, such as a trial balance, balance sheet, income and expense statements and more. It also come with its own ledger report writer, so you can build your own reports, to (for example) compare income this year to last year and the year before, or income to budget, or compare different areas of your business, such as the service side and parts sales side.

  An additional bonus with Windward System Five, is the ability to generate any report at any place in the system, and export the result to Excel, Word or a simple text file for manipulation or research by your accountant or yourself.
